Savoy City Hotel

We really like staying at the Savoy. We always get a genuinely warm reception. This time, due to boat schedules changing, we needed to book an extra night at check in. Not only was this arranged quickly, easily and at a good price, we even got a room upgrade thrown in! The breakfast was excellent with a very good choice of hot and cold buffet. Staff are always willing to go the extra mile. The location is excellent - central Rhodes Town with easy access ( 5 minutes walk) to the harbour/front, Old Town, bus station, taxi rank, shops and restaurants. It is 10 - 20 minutes walk to the commercial harbours where inter island boats depart from (two harbours depending on which boat) It is a little further to the closest beach.

What a great surprise! Perfect as a pitstop en route to Symi. The woman on reception was so lovely when I arrived. The room was very basic, but very clean, super comfortable bed and pillows, lots of towels, shower gel and handsoap in the bathroom. And air-conditioning! Then, the piece de la resistance, the breakfast included. Lots of choice and super friendly and helpful staff. And a lovely, shady courtyard with plants and the obligatory Greek cats. Total bargain at 46€ all up. I will definitely be back.

This was our second stay and our comments are similar. Staff are very kind and helpful. We were allowed to check in early, despite not requesting this , which was great after an early morning ferry arrival from another island. We were also offered breakfast and were able to get a sleep before having a wander around Rhodes town. On departure staff were really helpful about luggage storage and taxi booking. Room small but comfy.

The hotel Savoy is a basic but great hotel for the money. The guy on reception was very helpful. The room was basic but clean, a good shower and fabulous air conditioning. Beds firm but ok for us. The room was very quiet, only hearing the odd door closing. The breakfast next morning had a good choice of hot and cold food. Probably not the best cuisine but good for the price paid. Location great 400m from the bus station and a 10 minute walk into the old town. Very close to the bars in the new town. We paid £32.50 for a room with breakfast for two. Amazing

This is a very friendly, clean and comfortable budget hotel in an excellent location for the centre of Rhodes Town - shops/restaurants/cafes/bus station/taxi rank/harbour front with the Old Town a short walk away and the commercial harbours between 15 and 25 mins walk (depending on which you need). The breakfast is excellent - at our recent stay there was a varied hot selection plus cold items and the usual toast/cake/tea/coffee/juice.
